ATTENTION

Before use of your new instrument, you must first remove the protective blocking system installed in the bass for safe transportation (click the image to enlarge).

To unblock:
1. Undo the bass strap by unscrewing it;
2. remove the bass mechanics cover;
3.in case of standard bass accordion, follow the unblocking process shown in Image A, for free-bass accordion, follow the unblocking process shown in Image B;
4. when remounting the bass cover make sure the air button is fitted into its correct hole.

HELPFUL TIPS

• Protect the instrument from dust and humidity by storing it in its case after use;
• keep the instrument away from heat sources such as stoves and radiators, and avoid exposing it to the sun;
• do not expose the instrument to very cold temperatures, NEVER below 0°C, or 32°F;
• clean the instrument only with the provided cloth and water, avoid using aggressive detergents as this can affect the finish of the instrument.

tuning

IMPORTANT

Over time, or due to sudden changes in temperature or humidity, or for long periods of without use, some reeds may become out of tune. This is perfectly normal.

SOLUTION

Contact a competent tuner at least once a year.

right and left keyboard mechanics

USO NORMALE

Over time, or due to sudden changes in temperature or humidity, or for long periods of without use, the valve felts connected to each key (in the right hand there is one for non-cassotto accordions, two for cassotto accordions) can harden, and the metal keys can bend slightly. If this occurs it can cause an increase in noise, and it is possible that some reeds may sound during bellows usage without the note being pressed. This could happen at any stage during the life of your instrument.
Similar situations can also occur in the left mechanics.

MAINTENANCE

If necessary, please contact a specialized technician.

bellows

WEAR

The central bellows are connected to the right and left parts of your accordion by the use of pins or screws. To ensure perfect air tightness, a special seal is attached along the entire perimeter of the bellows. This material is subject to wear with the repeated compressions and weight of the bellows, and after a while it can deteriorate.

SOLUTION

If necessary, please contact a specialized technician to have the seal replaced.
